Julian May is a qualified mediator with a background in physiotherapy and workplace health, bringing a calm, practical, and people-centred approach to dispute resolution. He is passionate about improving worker productivity and reducing costly disputes. Having worked closely with individuals, teams, and employers across a broad range of industries, Julian understands how conflict affects wellbeing, communication, and productivity. His mediation style is grounded, respectful and focused on helping people move forward with clarity and confidence.
Julian completed his Mediation Accreditation through the Mediation Institute and specialises in personal injury mediation, workplace conflict, workplace facilitated discussions and organisational disputes. He offers a clear and efficient pathway to settlement. His approach balances empathy with practicality, helping parties move past roadblocks and focus on solutions that make sense to both parties. By creating a structured process and keeping discussions goal-oriented, Julian assists participants in achieving timely, cost-effective resolutions that minimise disruption and protect working relationships.
Julian completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at The University of Newcastle in 2011, and his Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in 2017. This extra training titles Julian as a Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist, one of the few in the Central West. Julian is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
